West Holden Sunday School West Holden Sunday School offers christian education for children from pre-school (age4) through Jr. High. Our goal is to provide a fun and educational time, including bible stories, music, crafts and games, that will supplement what is being taught at home. In additon, our Sunday School works hard to support the efforts of our church. In the past we have worked on quilts and homemade blankets to be sent to mission. We also collect supplies for school kits that are sent to Lutheran World Relief. Rally Sunday starts our year off with special fun and games, as well as a parish picnic on Mount Morris hill. Our class time changes with our church service schedule. We currently meet following church from 10:15 am-11:30 am. Effective 01-03-10 we will have a re-rally day focusing on the baptism of Jesus. We also change worship time on this date so Sunday School will meet from 9:00 am - 10:15 am with worship service following classes. Our Sunday School year concludes on 05-16-10 with a celebration presentation of perfect attendance pins and participation awards. Visitors are always welcome. We look forward to the opportunity to grow in faith and fellowship.

The first twenty minutes of our Sunday School experience is an opening with all of the elementary and pre-school aged children. The children listen to a lesson or a puppet show and then sing some Christian songs before heading off to their classroom time. The children get to sing some of their old favorite songs and are learning new songs.
